EFC Newport Is Seeking a New Lead Pastor
As we enter a new season of faith and ministry, Evangelical Friends Church of Newport is prayerfully searching for our next Lead Pastor—someone called by God to guide our church with spiritual wisdom, pastoral care, and gospel-centered leadership.
Our church family is located on the Middletown/Newport line in beautiful Rhode Island, and we are part of the Evangelical Friends Church–Eastern Region. We are a close-knit and welcoming congregation of around 60 members, with an average Sunday attendance of 100. At the heart of our identity is a simple, powerful mission:

Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a biblically rooted, relational leader—a pastor who:
Is a strong, knowledgeable preacher with seminary training (or equivalent experience), able to clearly communicate Scripture with truth and grace.
Values personal connection, is outgoing and approachable, and is skilled at building up both individuals and leaders across all generations—including children, teens, and families.
Has a passion for prayer and invites the Spirit into every part of ministry life.
Desires to see the gospel lived out through service, compassion, and outreach in our local community and beyond.
What We Offer
This full-time role includes a salary of $42,000–$52,000 per year, along with:
Parsonage housing with paid utilities
Allowance for medical and dental insurance
Retirement plan contributions
Paid group life insurance
A deeply supportive congregation and staff, committed to walking this journey together with our next pastor.
