Member's Meeting
Should both the Candidate, Search Committee, and Elders continue to feel led in this direction by the Holy Spirit, there will be a members meeting on March 15th at 11 am for the purpose of the members voting by anonymous ballot on whether to approve or reject offering an initial, three-year call to the current candidate to serve as our new Senior Pastor. All are welcome to attend, only EFC Newport members are allowed to vote.
Easter Egg Hunt
Join us for our annual Easter Egg Hunt here at EFC Newport on April 4th, from 11am - 1pm. Bring your Easter baskets and get ready for a fun-filled day with thousands of eggs to find, plus exciting activities like a bounce house, petting zoo, face painting, crafts, and free ice cream sundaes! Enjoy delicious options from local food trucks while spending time with family and friends. We also invite you to bring a non-perishable food item to support the Portsmouth Food Bank. Don’t miss this wonderful event—fun for all ages! The egg hunt starts promptly at 11am so don’t be late :)
Men’s Ministry Breakfast
The men's ministry meets every 2nd & 4th Saturdays at the Newport Creamery in Middletown at 7:30am. No need to RSVP, you are welcome to just show up with your Bible ready to study. Contact the church for more information at connect@efcnewport.com.
Soup Kitchen
EFC Newport hosts a soup kitchen every second Wednesday of the month at the First Presbyterian Church in Newport, RI from 5-6pm. Please contact the church office for more information on how you can help serve at the soup kitchen.
Candidate Weekend
We are so excited to announce that we have invited Chris McCabe, as our pastoral candidate, to come out to Rhode Island the weekend of March 7 and 8 to meet with the Elder Board, staff, and ministry leaders; tour the parsonage; preach on Sunday; and participate in a congregational potluck meet-and-greet and Q&A session. Please mark your calendars and be here on March 8th to hear Chris preach and attend the Q&A immediately following the service. All are invited.
EFC Day of Prayer
Join us after service as we continue to pray over our Pastoral Selection and Transition. Pastor Phil will guide us through worship and prayer prompts for the new pastor, search committee and our congregation.
