Meet Christy VanVleck, Our New Children’s Ministry Assistant

We are thrilled to welcome Christy VanVleck to the EFC staff as our new Children’s Ministry Assistant Intern for the 2025–2026 ministry year!

Christy will serve as a vital part of our Sunday morning team, greeting families and helping with check-in stations downstairs. She has already played a major role in relaunching the toddler room, which had been closed since the 2022 flood in the children’s wing. Her energy, experience, and heart for children’s ministry are such a blessing to our church community.

Christy brings with her a strong background in children’s ministry—from nursery care and Awana leadership to teaching VBS and mentoring kids in faith through outreach programs. She and her husband Nate, a Navy serviceman, moved to Newport with their three children and quickly became a part of our EFC family.
