A Joy-Filled Easter Celebration for Our Community

On April 19, 2025, our church family at Evangelical Friends Church Newport had the joy of hosting a vibrant and love-filled Easter Egg Hunt Outreach for the local community. It was an unforgettable day of fun, fellowship, and faith.

With over 1,500 colorful eggs carefully stuffed by our volunteers and more than 450 attendees, the turnout was a beautiful reminder of what God can do when His people come together with open hearts. Families from all over the neighborhood came to enjoy an afternoon of activities for all ages.

Children and parents alike delighted in a petting zoo featuring bunnies and goats, a bounce house, face painting, craft tables, and free ice cream sundaes. We were also blessed to host local food trucks, bringing even more joy (and delicious treats!) to the gathering.

At the heart of the event was our mission to share the hope of Jesus Christ. We presented the gospel message to children and parents alike, planting seeds of faith through stories, smiles, and conversations. Our prayer team was present and available throughout the event, and we thank God for the many meaningful spiritual conversations that took place.

This Easter Egg Hunt wasn't just a fun springtime event—it was a powerful outreach opportunity where our church had the privilege to live out our calling to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We are grateful for every volunteer, every conversation, and every connection made.

We look forward to continuing to love our neighbors well and sharing the message of Christ’s resurrection and hope in future events!
