Commissioning the Hoffmans: A Farewell Filled with Gratitude
On June 29th, the sanctuary at EFC Newport was filled with love, laughter, and heartfelt goodbyes as we celebrated and commissioned the Hoffman family into their next calling. After 18 faithful years of ministry, we gathered as a church family to honor Pastor Paul Hoffman for his service as Lead Pastor—and to send him, Autumn, and their family into a new chapter with our prayers, blessings, and gratitude.
The service was emotional and rich with reflection. Stories were shared, tears were shed, and the overwhelming sense of community and God’s presence could be felt throughout the sanctuary. Friends, family, fellow pastors, and even former EFCers came to express appreciation for the incredible impact Pastor Paul and his family have had on our church body and community.
We are deeply grateful for Pastor Paul's shepherding heart, his unwavering commitment to truth, and the many lives touched through his preaching, mentorship, and friendship. His legacy at EFC is lasting—and we will carry that forward with joy.
